Greenbelt Perimeter Report Spring 2002

The perimeter walk was held May 25th. Five people made the trek. In general the encroachments were less than in past years. If you would like to see what constitutes an encroachment please read the Common Area Management Policy.

Next to post 1 it was noted that the survey iron post had been removed. If you happen to find it please let a member of the DLPOA Board know.

Between posts 6 and 7 there was about 2 feet of mowing of the greenbelt. A letter was sent and a reply has been received.

Between posts 15 and 16 a huge pile of broken glass bottles was found on the perimeter line. A letter was sent.

Between posts 38 and 39 threre was about 2 square feet of mowing noted. A letter was sent and a reply has been received. Sorry, no picture, camera choked.

Between posts 42 and 43 there was about 4 square feet of mowing of the greenbelt. A letter was sent.

Between posts 57 and 58 a pile of brush was found on the greenbelt. A letter was sent. The pile has been removed.

Between posts 92 and 93 old and new piles of grass clippings were found. A letter was sent and a reply has been received. The clipping have been removed.

Between posts 96 and 97 a new slate rock path was noted. A letter was sent and a reply has been received. The path has been removed.

Between posts 117 and 118 mowing is still occuring on the greenbelt. In fact between posts 118 and 119 you will also find mowing. Please review the previous perimeter (1999, 2000, 2001) reports to see that this is nothing new. A few years ago the mowing was worse, what stopped some of it then was application of round-up, thus killing the grass on the greenbelt. I anticipate this will need to be done again. Please read the letter I sent. A reply has been received.
